Maria Manuela Costa Batista Ferreira da Silva was born in Lisbon in 1958. She is Bachelor in Accounting from the Instituto Comercial da Beira – Mozambique and has a Degree in Business and Management from the University of Natal in Pietermaritzburg – South Africa. In 1983 was Finance and Administration Manager of the multinational company Circle Freigt International based in California, United States of America. Became General Manager in 1985, Managing Partner and Country Manager in 1988 and Manager for the Iberian Peninsula in 1990. She became Managing Partner of the Company Horus, Planificação de Transportes Internacionais, Lda in 1995 and is, since 1998, P.C.A. and Main shareholder of Horus Group. Since 2005 has been dedicated to the study of philosophical and scientific foundations of quantum physics. In 2009 became a member of the Research Group on the Philosophical Foundations of Quantum Mechanics of the Center of the Center of Philosophy of Natural Sciences of Lisbon University.
